Tribunal will decide if Christian school can force boy to cut his hair
A tribunal will decide if a Christian school has the right to force a 5 year-old Cook Islands boy to cut his hair.
The Australian Christian School Moreton told Cyrus Taniela to cut his hair to comply with school policy.
However, Cyrus’ mum Wendy argues the school is unlawfully discriminating against her son on the basis of his cultural heritage.
Her son is growing his hair long in the lead up to a traditional hair-cutting ceremony.
