Queensland Health Asks Nurses Union Sign Off On Misleading Memo

Queensland Health asks nurses union sign off on misleading memo

A Queensland Health employee asked the Nurses and Midwives union to approve a memo which undermined the legitimacy of a rival association.

The Industrial Relations Commission heard that Queensland Health used the official memo to deliberately mislead staff.

The memo incorrectly stated that the Nurses Professional Association of Queensland (NPAQ) can’t represent nurses.

The NPAQ is a rival employee association to the QNMU.
