Chef sacked for having cancer treatment wins unfair dismissal and $18,000
A chef who was sacked while in hospital having cancer treatment has won his unfair dismissal claim and $18,000 compensation.
The Fair Work Commission described the employer’s conduct as “extraordinarily heartless” and “unnecessarily harsh”.
